Look at life!

All people were born with a certificate of death at their birth.

Life is uncertain and death is certain –

a continuous movement of change towards death.

Death is not the end of life.

Death is the beginning of a life.

Yet Birth is the beginning of death.

Before death, during their life time,

all people experience many problems in their daily life.

For example, they meet with rise and fall,

success and failure, loss and gain.

People experience honor and contempt,

praise and blame,

happiness and unhappiness.

Therefore human life is like the waves of the ocean.

Usually those problems of life ending in suffering

will again lead to the increase of the three roots of everything evil,

greed, hatred and delusion.

All these are the causes of unhappiness and sadness.

Then, even more sorrow, lamentation, pain, grief, despair will torment them.

Mind is chief,

mind-made are all these problems.

According to actions,

people will feel results.

For example, if a man does bad deeds,

then unhappiness will follow him.

If man does good deeds, then happiness follows him, now and in the future.

Therefore, man is his own creator and savior.

Man is the builder of his own life and creator of his own fate.

How to live to get happy without problems?

People have to train the mind with meditation,

see the nature of life and to practice the way of reducing greed, hatred and delusion.

People discover the root causes of problems.

People must be aware of the mind which is considered perfected and make an effort in protecting themselves.

People should lead the mind to calm and peace.

When people control or protect themselves, they automatically contribute to the happiness and peace of others.

And then they will be able to attain their salvation and find peace and happiness.

Above all, people ought to understand the nature of life.

Everything is changeable, does not last, is impermanent.

Life is uncertain and death is certain.

Therefore, all of us must die one day.
