The Bodhi tree in Freising

is enjoying the summer days in Germany and is now growing nicely into the shape of a real tree. It all started out in November 2011 with a very thin stick of 7cm without leaves put into a glass of water and after a few days stuck into a small cup with earth. The parent tree of this Bodhi tree offspring is located at Wat Santacittarama near Rome.

Oh, if we little offsprings of the present day Buddhasasana could grow just as fast and beautifully as this tree into the shape of our masterly father of wisdom!
